Active Bentonite ( vertical and horizontal )
Calcium bentonite - MAX GEL
MAX GEL is a premium calcium bentonite of the Wyoming type.
Different extenders make the bentonite more productive as a normal bentonite.
OCMA BENTONITE (vertical)
is a activated Bentonite with sodium carbonate correspon-
ding to the specifications of the "Oil Companies Materials Association" nr. DCFP-4 for boreholes. OCMA Bentonite is of european origin. The addition of soda improves its swelling capacity.
This Bentonite softens the mixing-water. OCMA Bentonite forms a filter cake and gives viscosity. You can combine it really good with other fluids and additives. You can regulate arbitrarily the viscosity and the outcoming water of the filter adding the right polymers. OCMA Bentonite is really good to produce Bentonite sands, to construct mineral seals. Recommended applications:
- To make a Bentonite basic flushing
- To form a thin filter cake
- To improve the stability of the flushing
- To improve the stability of the borehole
- To make a mineral sealing
- To drill (vertical)
- One-way-pallets 1To. 40 x 25 kg sacks

MAX BORE HDD (horizontal)
MAX BORE HDD is a high quality one-sack-fluid for drilling, it consists of a highly efficient premium- sodium-Bentonite of the Wyoming type and other additives.
MAX BORE HDD is produced and developed especially for the different needs in controlled horizontal drilling. Typical physical properties:
Apparence: light beiges - grey-green powder
Specific weight 2,3 – 2,6
Apparent density 769 -833 kg/m³
Application MAX BORE HDD improves the viscosity and the stability of the borehole, reduces loss of water and improves the lubrication. Typical quantities for
MAX BORE HDD : from 18 to 35 kg/m³.
Advantage - You can make a economic one-sack-flushing of the borehole
- Less solids in the flushing agent for the borehole
- Forms a thin filter cake
- Improves the stability of the borehole flushing
- Reduced times for expanding and mixing
- High yield
- Not toxic, without substances that are dangerous to the environment
Recommended application with fresh water
brickearth, fine sand 20 - 30 kg/m³
sand 25 - 35 kg/m³
thick sand, gravel 30 - 45 kg/m³
You should mix
MAX BORE HDD possibliy with a hopper or with a high-speed mixer, so you get the best yield. Add the product slowly and constantly, after about 10 min. it begins to swell. Before you mix you should analyse the water you add chemically, for instance PH value, water hardness and salt content, which all have a great influence to the yield. If necessary you should treat first the mixing water with soda ash.
Limitations If you mix with salty water (>10 mg/L CI-) or hard water (>240 mg/L Ca++) you reduce the yield of the product.
Packing - 25 kg paper bags on one-way-paletts, encased with PE-film
- 40 bags pro palett
- Big bags with 650 or 1.000 kg
